This stretch had not been fished for some years before we took it on and is totally unspoiled and has natural overgrown banks. Expect to do some clearing to get yourself comfy. I saw many fish topping when I went to view it & some were a decent size so tackle up for some big Bream, Chub, etc. Our Members have had good size Carp out too, so be prepared for good fights.
From Scunthorpe take A18 to Crowle Junction, turn Left onto A161 continue towards Epworth, then Haxey and Graiselound until you reach Misterton. Once in the village look for the Church and turn right before it onto Church Street, you will see Red Hart pub on right; the road bears left then right. (you will see a red box on a post) Then turn right into Carr Lane this will in 200 yards lead to Cornley Road on the right, not much more than a single farm track with potholes!
Continue up here for 2 miles. You will enter a wooded farm complex. Drive past the 2 houses set back on your left and follow the track just past the farm buildings as it turns right onwards to flood bank. Please leave the gate as found. There is plenty of parking space over the flood bank so please park sensibly not to block access for any farm vehicles.
New for 2012
