Details
We have secured the access rights for over a mile of the river Trent (North) at Dunham Bridge from 16th June 2013.
View looking across from the east bank to our west side with the river running from left to right.
The access rights of just over a mile of the West river bank once held by Sheffield and DAA has not been fished much for 2 years. Our fishing area starts at the big car park under the bridge where you will see our signs at the secured gate and stile. It then extends towards Church Laneham and ends just before the pump house around the river bend. We have been requested by the land owner not to take vehicles onto the bank at any time as his livestock were allowed out by previous users but good access on foot runs along the entire length. The best news for many of you will be that our members have been given permission by the land owner to night fish.
Anyone wishing to fish at night must obtain one of our club ‘night permits’ at a small additional fee.
I know many of you love night fishing so please take great care and don’t do anything to upset this agreement.
No fires as per our rules are obvious but other care and behaviour should be maintained at all times please and no litter of any kind. If the cattle eat anything left by anglers on the bank or in the waterside you could be liable for criminal damage.
